As a Restorer recommended by Lladro I get many Lladro items in, this is the first to make it to the examples pages.
This Large Lladro Don Quixote arrived with damage to his arm and hand holding the sword.
The arm was broken in three main pieces with further shards and chips as is often the case with Lladro damage.
In addition the sword had become detached from the handle and there was a crack on the scabbard.

The broken pieces were carefully cleaned and reglued in stages using Fynebond.
The sword handle was carefully glued on and an insert was added for strength which was painted to match the gold metal of the sword.

The missing areas were colour filled with Fynebond tinted with dry pigments to match and once cured and polished, the break areas were painted with Cold Glaze.
