This lovely Wedgwood Stilton Dish
with flowers and leaves in relief arrived with a large section

top of the missing area to the top of the cover. The inside of the
cover had staining from use.
The Base had two hairline cracks and several chips.

The long hairline crack was stabilized with Fynebond epoxy before work could begin on the large missing section.
A mold was taken of the
flowers and leaves on the opposite side, using a two part silicone
putty, the area where the mold was taken which was very similar
pattern to the missing area.
The mold was positioned on the cover and filled with A+B Putty,
while the putty was still slightly pliable the mold was removed and
the fill adjusted by carving the relief flowers and leaves to match
the existing.
Below: The Cover showing the fill painted white ready for painting in colour.
The repairs were painted
with Cold Glaze with dry powder pigments to colour.
Finally the repairs were glazed over with Cold Glaze.
Finally the repairs were glazed over with Cold Glaze, including added fumed silica to matt down the repairs to match the rest of the piece.
